Terms of Service

Last updated July 2026

These terms govern your use of Dorinda. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

The service

Dorinda is a personal assistant operating system. It is a deterministic application that gives the general AI you already use — such as Claude or ChatGPT — persistent memory, accountability, and governance. Dorinda is not an AI provider and does not include or resell an AI model; you connect your own AI over a remote MCP connector, and that AI’s outputs are produced by your AI provider, not by Dorinda.

Accounts and households

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. On a Family plan, an Owner administers a household of up to five members with roles (Owner, Adult, Teen, Assistant). The Owner is responsible for members they add and for configuring shared vs. private access appropriately. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service unlawfully or to violate the rights of others.
  • Attempt to breach security, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Use the service to send spam, harass, or deceive.
  • Misuse connected accounts (email, calendar) or exceed the access you were granted.
  • Resell or provide the service to third parties except as expressly permitted.

Your content and your approvals

You retain ownership of the content you store in Dorinda. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service (for example, to store and display your data and to route it to the AI or connected accounts you direct). Because Dorinda acts under your governance rules, you are responsible for the actions you approve — including messages sent from your connected accounts once you approve them. High-risk actions require your approval by design; low-risk actions you have chosen to auto-allow proceed under the rules you set.

Third-party services

Dorinda works with third-party services you choose to connect — including your AI provider (Anthropic’s Claude or OpenAI’s ChatGPT), Google (Gmail and Calendar), Microsoft (Outlook and Calendar), and Stripe (payments). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

  • Free trial. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with full access. No credit card is required to begin. A payment method is collected only if you choose to subscribe; we do not auto-charge at the end of a trial. If you do not subscribe, your account moves to read-only at trial end; your data is retained and you can export it. There is no ongoing free tier.
  • Plans. After the trial, Personal is $15/month or $144/year, and Family is $40/month or $444/year for up to 5 members. See Pricing for details.
  • Billing. Paid plans begin at conversion — when you choose to subscribe by adding a payment method. From that point, plans are billed in advance through Stripe on a monthly or annual cycle and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are in USD; applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.
  • Cancellation. You may cancel anytime. During the trial there is nothing to cancel — no card has been charged. If you cancel a paid plan, your paid access continues through the end of the current billing period, after which access ends; you can export your data.
  • Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may offer refunds or credits at our discretion.
  • Changes. We may change prices or plans on a going-forward basis with reasonable notice; changes do not affect a period you have already paid for.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. The Dorinda application is deterministic and does not generate AI content itself; any AI-generated output comes from the AI you connect, and you are responsible for reviewing it before acting. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dorinda and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or to protect the service and its users. On termination you can export your data for a reasonable period before deletion.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email, and the “last updated” date above will change. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
